CONGRATULATIONS
The following students have secured themselves jobs during the Christmas period at the beautiful eco-resort Kingfisher Bay Resort, on the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, in Queensland: Lasang Lama, Ajay Gurung, Yan Xiaoyu will all be working across F&B and Housekeeping. Sudhir Paudel will work as a Porter and in Public Area's housekeeping and Krishna Lamsal will work as a Porter and in the Kitchens:

Name: Lasang Lama
Course: Diploma of Hospitality Management - Commercial Cookery
Lasang Lama who has been studying a Diploma of Hospitality Management - Commercial Cookery has secured employment over the Summer holiday period at the Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island, Queensland, gaining work experience in Food & Beverage and Housekeeping. Lasang holds previous work experience as a Waitress, Cashier and Librarian from her hometown in Kathmandu, Nepal and is looking forward to further developing her skills in Commercial Cookery where she will be able to strengthen her skills in all aspects of hospitality operations.

Name: Ajay Gurung
Course: Diploma of Hospitality Management - Commercial Cookery
Ajay, who is one of the five Meridian International Hotel School students selected for employment in Food & Beverage and Housekeeping, over the summer holiday period at the Kingfisher Bay Resort, will also take with him, previous work experience as a Food & Beverage Attendant from Kathmandu, Nepal. Ajay is also currently working as a housekeeping attendant at Base Backpackers in Sydney. Holding an Associate Degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management from the American University of Cyprus (Kyrenia, Cyprus), Ajay aims to use the skills and knowledge he has developed over the years to work as a Food & Beverage Attendant in the Hospitality Industry.

Name: Yan Xiaoyu
Course: Certificate III - Commercial Cookery
Yan will be working in Food & Beverage and Housekeeping at the Kingfisher Bay Resort over the Summer Holiday Period. While completing Certificate III in Commercial Cookery at Meridian International Hotel School in Sydney, Yan has also been working as a Food Assistant in Crows Nest. Other than English and her mother toungue Chinese, Yan can also speak German and a little Japanese.
Name: Sudhir Paudel
Course: Diploma of Hospitality Management - Patisserie
Sudhir, will be working across Porters and Public Area's Housekeeping during his work experience period at Kingfisher Bay Resort. Sudhir began a Diploma in Hospitality Management - Patisserie in Sydney this year, while also completing the Responsible Services of Alcohol (RSA), Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG), and Bar Skills during 2008.

Name: Kunal Singh
Course: Diploma of Hospitality Management - Commercial Cookery
Kunal has gained a place at the Kingfisher Bay Resort working across Porters and the Kitchen during the Summer Holiday Period. In July 2008, Kunal began a Diploma of Hospitality Management - Commercial Cookery at the Meridian International Hotel School in Melbourne. Kunal is also presently working in Telemarketing and Customer Service at the Telequest Call Centre, in Melbourne. Kunal's range of work experience ranges from Telemarketing to Kitchen Hand, Customer Service and Food & Beverage Attendent.
Priyanka Patel, Balwinder Singh, Umeshkumar Arumugam, Indira Priyadarshini Gandham, Sanjay Prajapati, Jaspreet Kaur, Srinath Bandara, Rahul Bhatt, Carpenter Hitesh and Krunal Panchal have all found jobs with Delaware North, and will be working at the Australian Open Tennis in 09 – what a job!
Jayesh Dhundur has graduated in November 2008 and got a full-time position as F&B Attendant at Voyages Ayers Rock starting in January 2009
Chetan Bhat has also got a full-time position as a Commis Chef at Longitude 131º - the luxurious and eco-sensitive Voyages Resort at Uluru (Ayers Rock) starting in December 2008
