Meridian Annual Career Fair
Meridian students wowed industry at the Meridian Annual Career Fair which was held at Flinders St, Melbourne campus on Tuesday 14 October 2008, with 18 employers and over 600 students enjoying a successful day.
Last week about 600 students attended Meridian Annual Career Fair. The group included 200 graduates from August & September, 300 students graduating in November and about 100 current students.
Over 250 students have now either received offer of employment or are scheduled for a second interview with some of Australia's leading hotels and recruitment companies including; Crown Melbourne, Grand Mercure, Marriott Hotel, Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens, Black Tie Catering, City Chef Solutions, and Epicure Catering. And the offers keep rolling in this week.
The day was run by the IPO and interested students had booked themselves into the fair, preparing their resumes, getting some hints and tips on interview techniques and got ready to meet face-to-face with potential employers.
Henri Fadli, who runs to IPO and organized the day, said he thought the students were amazing, prepared and confident. The employers were also highly impressed by recent Meridian graduates and final semester students.
