Life in Melbourne
The capital city of the state of Victoria, Melbourne, is situated on the Yarra River and Port Phillip Bay. It is a beautiful spacious European-style city with beautiful parks and gardens, sporting venues and excellent public transport. It has been voted the ‘World’s Most Liveable City’.
Melbourne is well known as an international centre of learning. One quarter of Melbourne’s population was born overseas making it one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities.
